I've been to the Internot in Sumy. Is Viktor still the director? We adopted our son Alexander from the preschool in Nov.of 2000 and as the director over all the orphanages (Baby House, preschool or Detsky Dom and the Internot) he had to sign off on our paperwork. He comes off as a little gruff but truly does care about the kids under his care.

I was the one who got the Internot and the Preschool added to Life2Orphans. I believe there are a couple of pictures of a lady in her coat and hat taken outside in front of a building. that's my son's maternal grandmother, Granny Moda. I'd love to go back again (we returned in 2003) and visit in Sumy (but not with the stesses of the paper chase of an adoption!) I don't know if you two have experienced this but if your facilitator/translator starts to get into a shouting match with some beauracrat, don't worry like I did...it doesn't mean all is lost, just their way.)
